ABOUT US
DANCE is Freedom
DANCE CLUB is a 45-minute dance fitness class done to a seamless house music mix. Each class is carefully designed to make it easy to follow along, drop in, and let go. It’s a sweaty, heart-pumping workout that will leave you feeling energized and ready to take on all that life throws at you.
All DANCE CLUB classes are done in sneakers. Wear clothes you can dance and sweat in, and bring water. We provide towels.
DANCE CLUB was founded in 2025 with a simple goal: to make a real difference in my local community by giving people a powerful workout and a place to let go, move freely, and reconnect with themselves. It’s where my passion for dance, music, and movement meets years of experience—and a deep belief that everyone needs this kind of release.
DANCE CLUB is currently a pop-up style class hosted at a community dance studio in Park Slope. We rent the space for class times and do not operate our own dedicated studio - yet.

Why Dance is so good for you
Dance isn’t just fun—it’s one of the most powerful ways to move your body, boost your mood, and strengthen your brain —and doing it to house music adds its own benefits!
As a form of aerobic exercise, dancing raises your heart rate, supports cardiovascular health, builds strength, balance, and coordination, and even helps activate your lymphatic system through sustained movement and sweating, which aids detoxification and immune function.
Research shows that dancing engages multiple regions of the brain simultaneously—challenging memory, attention, and spatial navigation—and may lower the risk of cognitive decline and dementia more than many other leisure activities because of its blend of physical activity, mental effort, rhythm, and social connection.
Dance also triggers the release of “feel-good” neurochemicals like endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin, which help reduce stress and anxiety, elevate mood, and deepen social bonding.
When we move in rhythm with others, our brains synchronize in ways that can heighten empathy and connection, making dance a uniquely holistic practice for body, mind, and spirit.
House music (typically 115–130 BPM) positively impacts the brain by inducing flow states, lowering stress-related cortisol, and boosting mood through dopamine release, often functioning as both an energizing and focus-enhancing tool. Its repetitive, driving 4/4 rhythm syncs with motor networks, facilitating enhanced cognitive function, neuroplasticity, and physical synchronization.
